Middle Eastern with Mark and Kris
Washburn University sponsored an evening of authentic Middle Eastern food, folk dancing and culture focusing on Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Turkey. It was interesting. While there, we saw dear friends Mark and Kris and convinced them to come over. (It has now been over 20 years since they got married in our living room on November 1, 1988.)

Persian New Year
Our friend Bobby just might be the quintessential bachelor. He lives alone with a pool table in the living room, a Ducati in the family room and a Lotus in the garage. We joined him last night for a feast celebrating the Persian New Year (or NoRooz) which begins on the first day of Spring. The year is now 2568.

Lucas moves in
The same day that SRC and JQ left for Hawaii via California, Lucas moved in. An exchange student from Brazil, Lucas has only 2 more months at Topeka High School. When his host family needed to move, we got Lucas. We immediately introduced him to peaches and ice cream.

Juan, Jake, SRC and Italian Dinner
Week in review: George's cousin Juan visits us for his spring break from the University of Richmond. Jake and SRC visit on their way to Hawaii. Helen and I enjoy an excellent multi-course Italian feast at the Mullican's.
